Dr. David E. Rawson,
DDS, DACSDD, DABCP, FAACP, FICD
Clinic Director

Dr. David E. Rawson is a 1974 graduate of Dentistry from The University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. He spent his first five years as a Dental Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces serving in Halifax N.S. and Kingston, ON.

After his military career, he opened a General Family Practice in London, ON in 1979 and has maintained a keen interest in the dynamics of the face and dentition.

Since 1998, Dr. Rawson has traveled extensively throughout North America studying with the leaders in chronic head and neck pain, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD), Orthodontics and Sleep Disordered Breathing, which includes snoring, and sleep apnea.

In 2003, Dr. Rawson limited his practice to the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. He incorporates a holistic approach to patient needs and uses a multi disciplinary team approach to enhance his treatments. These therapies include Osteopathy, Craniosacral Therapy, Massage Therapy, Nutritional and Lifestyle Counselling, and referral to the appropriate allied healthcare practitioners for maximum benefit to the patient. His treatments include no needles, surgery or drugs.

Dr. Rawson and his well-trained and dedicated staff see patients daily who suffer needlessly from headaches and sleep disorders, which can now be treated effectively using modern technology and new treatment concepts.

Dr. Rawson holds Diplomate status with American Board of Craniofacial Pain (AACP), the Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines (ACSDD) and Fellowships with AACP and the College of International Dentists (ICD). He is a past Instructor at his alma mater Dental School in London, ON and has lectured to medical and dental audiences throughout Canada and the United States.

He has given much of his time to leadership in his profession having served as Co-Founder and President of the Canadian Academy of Craniofacial Pain, Founder and existing President of The Canadian Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines (CACSDD), Board Member of the AACP and The International Association for Orthodontics (IAO). He founded and ran a local Study Club of like-minded health care practitioners, called SMILE, in London for many years. He keeps active in a number of organizations in his profession.

Dr. Rawson enjoys teaching his colleagues the newer concepts in TMJ and Sleep Apnea and regularly hosts them in his office in the treatment of his many patients.

Barb,
Front Office Manager

The first voice you hear when you call our office is Barb’s. She handles all incoming calls, processes all administrative duties and is the warm and welcoming face of our TMJ and Sleep Therapy Centre.

Barb started her career as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) but soon switched to Dentistry. After many years in general dental practices, she joined our team. On a daily basis, she is witness to the valuable service we provide our patients suffering from long standing TMJ issues, chronic head and neck pain and energy sapping snoring and sleep apnea conditions.

Barb is a good listener and will help you select the care that is effective and appropriate for you.

Karly,
Clinical Team Lead

Karly's mission is to make sure each and every patient feels comfortable in her care. She achieves this by using her traits of compassion and sympathy towards the thoughts and feelings of her patients. As our Clinical Team Lead, she and her colleagues provide the best dental care available in as relaxed a dental environment as possible.

She began her career as a Dental Assistant in 2013, graduating from Medix College in London, ON. She first worked in General Dentistry, but has found her work at our TMJ Centre to be much more rewarding as she sees on a daily basis how significantly we improve the lives of so many patients in SW Ontario.

Outside the office, Karly is an avid bowler, plays soccer and enjoys camping and caring for her dog, “Carbon”.
